Following the mythopoetic archetypes of Carl Jung, Robert Bly and Joseph Campbell we are presented with four archetypes that represents the make up of a man  By exploring our core archetype we see a map emerge that allows us to maneuver through our challenges with a different, and helpful  strategy.

  The King archetype represents the mature, masculine energy characterized by leadership, authority, wisdom, and a sense of responsibility for the greater good. It's part of Carl Jung's theory of collective unconscious and symbolizes an ideal form of governance and moral integrity.

Here are some key strengths and traits associated with the King archetype:

• Good judgement: The King is known for making wise decisions and taking responsibility for his actions
• Generosity: He often acts with kindness and seeks the welfare of his subjects
• Order: Capable of bringing peace and stability to his realm
• Blessing: The King has the ability to empower others, fostering innovation and inspiration
• Mentorship: He serves as a mentor, guiding others with his experience and knowledge

The King archetype can manifest in different forms, such a the Good King, who rules with honorand bravery. The mature King, who is responsible and wise. However there is also the shadow King, who may exhibit negative traits like tyranny and narcissism
 

 The Lover archetype is characterized by a deep appreciation for love and connection, not just in a romantic sense, but also encompassing love for friends, family, work and even nature. this archetype is driven by passion, enthusiasm, and the desire for intimacy and spiritual fulfillment 

Here are some key strengths and traits associated with the Lover archetype:

• Intuition: Lover archetypes are highly intuitive and empathetic, understanding the emotions and needs of others
• Passion for life: They posses a zest for life and are often seen as enthusiastic and energetic
• Creativity: Lovers are imaginative and often have high aspirations, not limiting their abilities to love alone
• Appreciation: They are appreciative of beauty and sensory experiences, seeking to enjoy the richness and fullness of life
• Relationship Building: Lovers excel at creating meaningful connections and are often harmonizers in relationships

However, the Lover archetype can also exhibit some negative traits when their need for love and connection is not met, they may appear fragile, isolated, and can experience strong emotional outburstsT

The Warrior archetype embodies the virtues of courage, discipline, and skill in combat. It represents one of society's protectors, often associated with physical strength, prowess, and a readiness to stand up for others and for their beliefs

Here are some key strengths and traits associated with the Warrior archetype:

• Strength and Prowess: Warriors are known for their physical strength and combat skills, ready to defend those less able than themselves
• Discipline: They exhibit mental and tactical discipline, preparing rigorously for any challenge they may face
• Courage: Warriors are fearless in the face of threats or dangers, willing to fight to the death if necessary
• Loyalty: They are fiercely loyal and protective of those they serve or care for
• Strategic Thinking: Warriors posses good instincts and the ability to think quickly and rationally, especially in high-pressure situations

However, the Warrior archetype can also have its drawbacks. 

They may be prone to choosing conflict over diplomacy, potentially escalating situations unnecessarily. They can also struggle managing their emotions, particularly rage and anger

The Magician archetype is a symbol of deep knowledge, wisdom and mastery, often associated with transformation, inspiration, and innovation. This archetype represents the intellectual and mystical aspects of the human psyche, capable of understanding and manipulating the fundamental laws of the universe  

Here are some key strengths and traits associated with the Magician archetype:

• Knowledge and Mastery: Magicians are seen as masters of their craft, whether it be literal magic, science or technology
• Visionary: They have the ability to see possibilities and potential where others can't, and they use their skills to turn their visions into reality
• Transformation: The Magician is the archetype of change, using their abilities to transform themselves and the world around them
• Intuition: They are intuitive thinkers, often involved in fields like quantum physics, psychotherapy, mythology, and other esoteric studies
• Innovation: Magicians ate the driving force behind advancement and evolution, bringing forth new ideas and solutions

However, the Magician archetype can also have its shadow side. When misused, their knowledge and power can lead to manipulation and deception
